New Year, New Phrasal Verb

Happy New Year! 🎉

In this first post of The Lighthouse for 2025, I wanted to share how I’ve been keeping up with my goal to become a better listener and take notes on how people use phrasal verbs in everyday conversations. 

We had a funny start to the year—our car broke down! While my husband was telling a friend about visiting a car dealership to get it fixed, our friend mentioned she’d send him a link to the website of another dealership she really likes so my husband could "read up about" it. As soon as I heard that, I pulled out my phone and added "read up about" to my list of phrasal verbs (what a weirdo!). So, let’s explore "read up about" today!
