Are phrasal verbs that important?

I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that I’m about to release a course on something that used to terrify me… phrasal verbs (e.g., figure out, look forward to, put up with, etc.)! Talk about a plot twist.
You might be wondering—why phrasal verbs? With so many other aspects of English to focus on, why create a whole course on phrasal verbs? It all started with a simple idea: helping learners.
You know the saying about loving others as yourself? Whenever I master a new aspect of the English language, I don’t want to keep it to myself—I want other learners to master it too! I want to share what I’ve learned in a way that makes sense and actually transforms lives. I’ll never forget a conversation I had with a dear student. She told me that learning English completely changed her life. I could relate—learning English changed mine too (maybe I’ll write more about that in the future!). And when I finally understood how to make sense of phrasal verbs, it transformed my English as well.
