1 Year of  "The Lighthouse"!

We pack our bags, hop in the car, and head to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, in search of a lighthouse. Our newly turned 2-year-old sleeps in the back while Jonathan and I try to decide on a name for our newsletter. Our brand-new small (tiny?) business, Lighthouse English, wasn’t even at its newborn stage yet. The trip was long, and our minds longed for inspiration. What should we call our weekly newsletter? Finally, it dawned on us: The Lighthouse!

We wanted a space where we could navigate learners who wandered. We wanted to guide teachers who wondered how to help their wandering learners, and perhaps their own wandering minds. What helps a ship or boat find its way in the midst of dark and murky waters? Yes, lighthouses! This is how The Lighthouse was born, just a little before our second son was born.
