5. Use simple pictures and body movement to remember the meaning of all the phrasal verbs you learn

Course 1
Light Up 1 - ON and OFF
They're part of the top 10 most commonly used prepositions in phrasal verbs. Some examples include "to take on", "to take off", "to put on", "to put off" and so forth. However, by the end of this course you'll have the key to deducing the meaning of just about any phrasal verb which uses these prepositions, and more importantly, you'll know how to actually remember the meanings forever.

Course 2
Light Up 2 - IN and OUT
They're part of the top 10 most commonly used prepositions in phrasal verbs. Some examples include "to fill in", "to fill out", "to hang in", "to hang out" and so forth. However, by the end of this course you'll have the key to deducing the meaning of just about any phrasal verb which uses these prepositions, and more importantly, you'll know how to actually remember the meanings forever.

Course 3
Light Up 3 - UP and DOWN
The number 5 and number 6 most commonly used prepositions in phrasal verbs. Some examples include "to show up", "to clean up", "to burn down", "to break down" and so forth. However, by the end of this course you'll have the key to deducing the meaning of just about any phrasal verb which uses these prepositions, and more importantly, you'll know how to actually remember the meanings forever.

Course 4
Light Up 4 - Is it OVER?

However, by the end of this course you'll have the key to deducing the meaning of just about any phrasal verb which uses these prepositions, and more importantly, you'll know how to actually remember the meanings forever.

Course 5
Light Up 5 - Shine THROUGH
The next group of most commonly used particles in phrasal verbs. These include "through", "across", "along", "around", "about", "away", "back", "to", "for", "with", and "by". By the end of this course you'll have the key to deducing the meaning of just about any phrasal verb which uses these prepositions or particles, and more importantly, you'll know how to actually remember the meanings forever.
Perhaps you're thinking: this sounds great and all, maybe this works with the simple phrasal verbs, Nathaly, but I'm really struggling with those hard-to-understand, seemingly nonsensical phrasal verbs...
And that's where the core meaning extensions come in. You see, the literal core meanings of prepositions can often-times be fairly obvious, which is great. Easy core meanings, easy-to-figure-out phrasal verbs. Now, what if we extended that core meaning to something a little more abstract or figurative. All of a sudden we've got another dimension, so to speak, for the core meaning of our preposition. Then, voila, all that needs to be done is apply this core meaning extension to its associated phrasal verbs and you've uncovered the hidden dimension of those seemingly impossible phrasal verbs.

I'm your Teacher, Nathaly
I've been teaching English professionally now for over 11 years and started to have a deep fascination with phrasal verbs after they kept stumping me when I moved to the U.S. for a post-graduate Academic English Program at the University of Texas. I noticed just how common they were while living in an actual English-speaking country, and that led me on an intense quest to truly understand the logic behind them. I'm now thrilled to say that I can share the hidden logic behind phrasal verbs in a simplified way that won't have you memorizing long lists of them or feeling lost like I did when I first moved to the U.S. Light Up is the type of course I wish I would have had access to all those years ago when I was just starting to learn phrasal verbs myself.
