I'm Nathaly Rodriguez
But I usually go by Teacher Nathaly. I've been teaching English now for over 11 years and started to have a deep fascination with phrasal verbs after they kept stumping me when I moved to the U.S. for a post-graduate Academic English Program at the University of Texas at Austin. I saw first-hand how common they were while actually living in an English-speaking country and that led me on an intense quest to truly understand the logic behind them, which culminated in my first-ever self-paced, online course series, Light Up - Phrasal Verbs Demystified.
Now, It's true, I may have an out-of-this-world obsession with phrasal verbs, but that's not the only aspect of the English language which gets me excited. As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker who only started really learning English around 19 years old, I can totally empathize with what it's like to start learning English as an adult. Over the years I've enjoyed being able to help countless of students just like you with their English proficiency as a whole, namely through TOEFL preparation classes, and I've had the pleasure of seeing many of my former students get accepted to their dream universities and go on to do amazing things in their careers.
